The First Time You Log In

The first time you log in, you will see a white screen with "Welcome to Tell Me More" followed by "Please follow the instructions to activate your microphone."

Next to those words is a smaller white box displaying the settings for your Adobe Flash Player. Click the circle next to "Authorize" and the square next to "Remember." Close the Adobe window to save your settings and click "Continue." (Click here if you run into problems at this step.)

Please let us know if you need assistance setting up TMM on your computer. We are here to make sure your entry into the course goes as smoothly as possible.

Choose Your Language

Now you will register for your program. Choose your language from the drop-down menu.
Enter your personal information, including your email address, Skype username and other useful contact information.

Click on "start learning."

Guided Tour

Begin with the video tour to learn about TMM's features. In under 10 minutes, you will know how to use the program. You will find resources to learn new French words, to improve your accent in English, polish your pronunciation in Italian and widen your acquaintance with the Spanish-speaking cultures. Whichever language you choose, you will learn to handle a variety of practical situations and tasks, both orally and in writing.

Placement Assessment

The first activity is the Placement Assessment. Complete this activity so that Tell Me More knows where to begin your lessons. Please click here for more information about this assessment and some good advice for taking it. When you complete the test, your course will begin with the proper lesson for your current level of proficiency.

Choose your Language Program

Now define your language program. Choose the program "Everyday Situations." You will see a list of skill areas, with "All Skills" at the bottom. Choose the "All Skills" program at the bottom of the list. The appropriate lessons are now added to your learning plan.

Select additional activities any time by clicking the "Training" tab on your Homepage. For now, though, let's begin with your basic lessons. Go to your Homepage and enter your program.
